Gilly Carr is a Senior Lecturer and Academic Director in Archaeology at the Institute of Continuing Education and a Fellow of St Catharine’s College, University of Cambridge. She has published widely and regularly speaks at international conferences on the subject of the German occupation of the Channel Islands.

Recent monographs include Legacies of Occupation: heritage, memory and archaeology in the Channel Islands (Springer 2014); ‘Protest, Defiance and Resistance in the Channel Islands: German Occupation 1940-1945’ (Bloomsbury Academic 2014, with Paul Sanders and Louise Willmot). She is currently writing Testimonies of Nazi Persecution from the Channel Islands, to be published by Bloomsbury Academic.

Alice Allen has an MPhil in Creative Writing from the University of Glamorgan and has been published in various magazines including The Rialto and Magma. Her work was included in the third anthology from the Poetry School, I am Twenty People (Enitharmon, 2007) and in the anthology for the Foundling Museum, Tokens for the Foundlings (Seren, 2012). In 2014 she won the Flambard Poetry Prize.  She is a poetry reviewer for the website, Sabotage.
