BETTE & JOAN BY ANTON BURGE
PRESENTED BY JERSEY OPERA HOUSE COMMUNITY THEATRE and TC PRODUCTIONS (IN THE STUDIO)
It is 1962. Two aging Hollywood legends, Bette Davis and Joan Crawford do backbiting battle backstage in the one film they made together – the iconic horror romp – Whatever Happened to Baby Jane. In feisty, ribald language, old rivalries are stirred, memories of their legendary past are remembered, and scores are settled with wicked wit and occasional poignancy.
Tessa Coleman (Bette) and Sharon Campbell (Joan) bring the Hollywood Grande Dames (and their Baby Jane characters, the psychotic former child star and her wheelchair bound sister) to life amongst the barbed insults, practical jokes, and mutual grudging respect. Directed by Niki Perchard. By kind permission of Samuel French.
Contains strong language. Recommended for 15+
All profits from TC Productions will go to Stroke Association Jersey.
