Six international soloists celebrate the liberation of the Channel Islands in a night of stunning music and poignant personal stories about the occupation and liberation.
Listen to exquisite playing by award winning artists in Schubert’s wonderful Quintet and enjoy the genius and sublime melodies of Beethoven’s Archduke Trio, possibly his most celebrated chamber work. The concert opens with evocative and festive film music by Shostakovitch adapted for two violins and piano.
Soloists drawn from across the world include Ning Feng (China), Leonard Elschenbroich (Germany), So-Ock Kim (Korea), Rose Ventris (Britain), Isang Wenders (Germany) and Wu Qian (China).
Ning Feng also speaks in the pre-concert event at 7.00pm.
