Jersey Festival of Words

As part of the commemorations between 2014-2018 to mark the anniversary of the First World War, Jersey Arts Centre will be publishing an anthology of 100 Poems from Islanders in response to this conflict at the end of 2015.
Fifteen Island poets were first commissioned to write pieces in response to conflict, peace and conflict resolution at the end of 2014 and then the net was thrown wide encouraging all islanders to submit work. The 85 selected poems, alongside the 15 commissioned pieces, will make up the anthology.
Jersey Arts Centre is delighted to be a part of Jersey Festival of Words at Jersey Opera House this autumn where 25 of these poems will be shared with an audience. There will also be an opportunity for a question and answer session where poets can talk about their work in the context of war poetry.
